24hr Caregiver

**We are currently recruiting a Personal Support Worker to assist our female employer with Postpolio Syndrome in all activities of daily living.**

**The employer is an active advocate for people with disabilities and is friendly and flexible. She enjoys going for walks, watching TV and reading.**

**Location**:

- Vancouver (near Seawall Water Walk)

**Shifts & Hours of Work**:

- 24 hour shift with a 8:30pm start time
- 1 day a week (day is negotiable)
- flexibility to cover sick or vacation is an asset

**Compensation**:

- $280 flat rate for 24 hours

**Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)**:

- Bathing, washroom care, and dressing
- Transferring using a manual Hoyer lift;
- Uses electric wheelchair and require assistance with the washroom (no lifting required),
- Light housekeeping, personal and grocery shopping,
- Meal preparation under her direction;
- 1 intervention in the night 10 minutes toileting, repositioning all on the bed may increase if sick;
- Utilizes oxygen and BiPAP.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Caregiving experience is an asset
- Physically fit
- Experience with a Hoyer lift is an asset
- Driver's license and personal vehicle is an asset
- Must be fully vaccinated

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $280.00 per day

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
