- **Risk Assessor**, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.**Job Description**:

- Working within our Canada-wide Risk Assessment group, you will bring demonstrated skills and experience working on contaminated sites projects, ideally with Ontario-specific regulatory experience, as well as federal contracts. You will also have experience working with clients to develop technical scopes of work, proposal preparation, and the successful management and delivery of projects, meeting high standards for quality and client satisfaction. The position will initially be remote in nature due to Covid protocols but will eventually be based in one of our Ontario offices (Toronto, Markham, Guelph, or Ottawa).
- Success in this role will require the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and assignments, as well as flexibility, independence, and significant attention to detail.Key Responsibilities

**Specific responsibilities will include**:

- Project planning, data management, fieldwork, and reporting for human health and ecological risk assessments and risk management plans associated with contaminated environmental media
- Evaluation of exposure and toxicity information in support of risk characterization
- Assist in the preparation of human and/or ecological risk assessment reports under various provincial, territorial, and federal frameworks
- Build site-specific conceptual site models through the consolidation and interpretation of field and analytical data
- Contribute to proposal writing and participate in projects for other technical disciplines (e.g. land quality and ecology)

**Qualifications**
- 4-8 Years of experience in environmental consulting. Minimum 3 years in human health or ecological risk assessment.
- Graduate degree in biology, toxicology, soil science, geoscience, or related scientific field
- Experience in the preparation of human and ecological risk assessments under Ontario Regulation 153/04
- Working knowledge of the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks MGRA model
- Experience in human or ecological risk assessments under the FSCAP framework an asset
- Experience in field data collection and evaluation
- Demonstrated analytical, data management, and spreadsheet development skills
- Research and data analysis skills (literature search, web search, data base, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to occasionally travel to sites/clientsCountry
