**Role**:
In close collaboration with our research teams, the **Bioinformatics Scientist** will drive the development of a state-of-the-art data analysis pipeline, which integrates our pre-clinical and clinical research results as well as publicly available data sets. The information delivered will drive key research and development decisions and directly generate value for our researchers and patients.

**Main responsibilities**:

- In collaboration with our scientists and other stakeholders, identify R&D data to capture in our database and perform investigative data analysis, data wrangling, statistical analysis, data visualization and reporting
- Curate publicly available and internal data sets, optimizing for ease of access and traceability
- Employ machine learning algorithms to analyse large datasets
- Present and share insights based on the developed analysis
- Provide expertise company-wide ranging from data science & analytics to more traditional statistical and computer science analysis to improve our research and workflows
- Collaborate with the company leadership to develop the company’s data science strategy.

**Qualifications**:

- Doctorate (Ph.D.) or advanced degree in a relevant discipline, such as bioinformatics, computer science, statistics or related life science fields
- At least 2 years of professional experience in an academic, data
- or life-sciences setting, industry experience will be considered a huge plus
- Experience developing, evaluating and implementing novel bioinformatics algorithms and pipelines for large and/or complex datasets
- Python, R or similar skills in data analysis and statistics
- Experience with database development and maintenance would be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability in visualizing scientific datasets and results
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across several teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
