Northern Policy Institute is seeking a full-time **Policy Analyst - Workforce Reconciliation **for a 16-week position in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. **This position is ideal for those seeking to build firsthand experience about real world policy research. How it is done, how it is crafted, and to whom and how it is communicated.**

Roll up your sleeves and do real analysis on how to inform and engage Indigenous peoples about labour force opportunities. Explore global experiences on how employers can adapt and grow their capacity to attract and retain Indigenous workers. Bring real world evidence to bear on what can, or can’t, be done in Ontario’s varied northern regions.

Economics, public administration, political science, law, or business students may find this position especially rewarding. But anyone interested in attracting and retaining people in Northern Ontario should apply.

**An increment of $500 over and above base salary is available for those who can fluently speak Anishinabemowin, Oji-Cree, Cree, Michif or French as well as English in a professional setting.**

Experience North receives partial funding from the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Applicants should be aware of the eligibility requirements for that program. To be eligible for Canada Summer Jobs Funding, youth must**:be a resident (temporarily or permanently) in the federal riding where the grant is disbursed; **be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; be a **Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred **under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and, have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
