A full-time seasonal position, reporting directly to the Food & Beverages Manager, the Maître d’Hôtel will support all existing and new implementations of innovative leadership and management of the food and beverage operation. This will be achieved by a hands-on approach, with the end-goal of providing a 100% experience to all members of Beaconsfield Golf Club by abiding by the highest of private club standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Assist the F&B Manager in overseeing all aspects of the club's food and beverage operations, ensuring our exceptional service standards are maintained and member satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the F&B Manager to enhance the club's dining experience, including providing feedback on our menus.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the club's wine program, including selection, inventory management, and staff training.
- Provide wine recommendations to members and teach staff about different wines, regions, and flavor profiles.
- Train and mentor service staff on service and wine service techniques and knowledge.
- Supervise and train F&B staff, ensuring consistent service standards and adherence to club policies.
- Collaborate on organizing and executing special events, private functions, and member activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle member feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist with inventory counts monthly.
- Communicate with Food and Beverage Management regarding all aspects of operations.
- Ensure all menus are correct and current.
- Enforces all Human Resources and Club policies with the Staff, Members, and visitors.
- Any additional duties and tasks as instructed by the Hospitality Experience Manager.
COMPETENCIES OF THE APPLICANT:
- Bilingual (English/French),
- Customer service is driven by a positive, passionate, and inviting personality.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Food and Beverage management role
- Excellent organizational, management, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Motivator with team-building capabilities
- Proficiency in MS Office suite required.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
- Extensive wine and spirits knowledge, formal sommelier training preferred
- Full flexibility to work various times including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES:
- Aider le directeur de la restauration à superviser tous les aspects des opérations de restauration du club, en veillant au maintien des normes de service exceptionnelles et à la satisfaction des membres.
- Collaborer avec le directeur de la restauration pour améliorer l'expérience gastronomique du club, notamment en donnant son avis sur les menus.
- Connaître à fond le programme des vins du club, y compris la sélection, la gestion des stocks et la formation du personnel.
- Recommander des vins aux membres et informer le personnel sur les différents vins, les régions et les profils de saveurs.
- Former et encadrer le personnel de service sur les techniques et les connaissances en matière de service et de service du vin.
- Superviser et former le personnel de F&B, en veillant à ce que les normes de service soient cohérentes et à ce que les politiques du club soient respectées.
- Collaborer à l'organisation et à l'exécution d'événements spéciaux, de réceptions privées et d'activités pour les membres.
- Veiller au respect des règles de santé et de sécurité.
- Traiter les commentaires et les plaintes des membres de manière rapide et professionnelle.
- Participer aux inventaires mensuels.
- Communiquer avec la direction de l'alimentation et des boissons sur tous les aspects des opérations.
- Veiller à ce que tous les menus soient corrects et à jour
- Appliquer toutes les politiques des ressources humaines et du club auprès du personnel, des membres et des visiteurs.

- Bilingue (Français/Anglais)
- Le service à la clientèle est animé par une personnalité positive, passionnée et accueillante
- Minimum de 5 ans d’expériences dans un poste de gestion en restauration
- Excellentes aptitudes de gestion, organisation, leadership et de résolution de problèmes
- Capacités de motivateur et de travail d’équipe
