North Star Windows & Doors is seeking a highly driven **Production Planner** with a strong passion for production to join our team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will responsible for scheduling production to meet internal and external customer’s needs while ensuring that all internal policies and guidelines are being followed. The Production Planner will also be required to compile reports and data packs for Management as required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create and maintain schedules.
- Use workers and resources in the most effective manner.
- Look forward seeking opportunities to smooth production peaks and valleys.
- Identify and work around possible material shortages prior to scheduling production.
- High attention to detail. Identify problems and help improve processes.
- Use software to generate reports and schedules.
- Manage customer delivery date changes.
- Ensure that company deadlines are met.
- Effectively work in a cross functional team to ensure deadlines are met.
- Generate and distribute lot paperwork to production team.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of college/university degree
- Previous experience in production
- Window and door experience/knowledge an asset but not required
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills including familiarity with and proficiency in using the Office suite of products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
- A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.
