This individual will primarily be working in the role Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm EST, but availability on weekends and evenings may be required based on operational needs.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Minimum 5 years hospital experience or equivalent
- Preceptor training with OCP is an asset
- Demonstrated computer skills including EPIC and Microsoft programs
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and mentorship skills
- Positive work record and attendance essential
- Knowledge of legislative guidelines
- Significant experience with unit dose distribution systems, CIVA, purchasing and inventory management, narcotic regulations/processes, automation, pre-packaging/manufacturing operating procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and in providing exceptional patient centred care.
- The ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment during periods of rapid change and transitions

**Position Summary**:

- Support and facilitate the integration of drug distribution and inventory systems across sites
- Recruitment, coaching, training, monitoring and providing disciplinary action as required and co-ordinates daily activities, performance development and attendance management programs
- Participates in performance appraisals for Pharmacy Technicians
- Coordination of operation focus for Accreditation (Ontario College of Pharmacists & Accreditation Canada)
- Coordinate, monitor, and report on required audit results
- Monitor quality indicators & metrics to inform enhancement and improvement of quality processes
- Coordinate and support implementation, training, and maintenance of pharmacy automation solutions
- Liaise with pharmacists and patient care areas to ensure quality and efficiency of service
- Support a client focused environment
- Develop policies and guidelines to promote appropriate drug distribution and control
- Complete scheduling, payroll functions and rounding of team
- Other duties as assigned
