**The Role**:
Provides technical, business, and strategic analysis in the development and implementation of lifecycle optimization and sustainability strategies for corporate fleet assets (excluding transit). Manages large data sets, implements tools and data models, and develops/adapts data sets to capture key metrics for program planning. Investigates, evaluates, recommends, and coordinates the implementation of cost effective, efficient procurement planning, solutions, and programs. Recommends renewable energy efficiency technologies and performs detailed analysis of the financial benefits and related technical, economic, and operational risks.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:
Acts as project coordinator for procurement and technological assessment projects for corporate fleet management. Researches and evaluates new equipment and technologies for operational effectiveness, fuel and power usage conservation, and conducts pilot studies. Analyzes technical and/or economic risks and financial benefits. Makes recommendations for purchase and implementation.

Acts as systems administrator for the Fleet Management System (FMS). Coordinates systems administration responsibilities with ITS. Manages data integrity, monitors and validates associated data interfaces, develops information reports and capital plans.

Develops, coordinates, and implements a plan for ongoing analysis and reporting of fleet asset performance, consumption, and costing data using multiple systems (e.g. FMS, ASI fuel management system, telematics). Compares monthly and yearly usage, expenditures, and greenhouse gas emissions to historical values and identifies anomalies, cost projections, and opportunities for fleet life-cycle optimization, cost savings, and emissions reduction.

Leads the design and implementation of new/updated data sets, including for new technology and sustainability initiatives. Monitors performance and effectiveness of corporate fleet programs. Develops data models and analysis methods to organize and extract information from databases for ad hoc requests. Creates and disseminates reports using corporate software solutions, including dashboards and data visualizations. Assists with short and long-term project reporting and analysis by analyzing key performance indicators and making recommendations.

Investigates, analyzes, and evaluates technical reports to determine financial viability, return on investment, and long-term impact of consumption and emission reduction solutions. Researches and develops cost estimates, business cases, technical briefings, and life-cycle cost analysis for replacement or retrofit of vehicle and equipment components for consumption reduction. Monitors and reports on actual savings achieved.

Develops and maintains user guides, manuals, documentation, information, and records.

Co-chairs bi-annual Fleet Management Committee to go over updates on vehicle/equipment fleet, new processes, standard operating procedures, new technologies, new legislative changes, corporate objectives, capital planning, procurement, and ‘greening’ of the fleet. Assists with agenda, facilitation, presentations, and minute taking.

Coordinates and facilities meetings with users throughout the year to review, for example: business cases/functional requirements need, vehicle equipment demonstrations, and specification development etc.

Provides technical expertise and guidance to the Division, client departments, and vendors in the procurement process. Shares information and provides reference materials on technical details, safe operation, and servicing to client groups.

Assists in annual capital budget estimates for corporate fleet assets. Has a p-card and signing authority for program purchases.

Ensures procured vehicles, equipment, ancillary equipment, and related parts are received within timelines; maintains records of outstanding purchase orders and obtains status reports for work in process; follows up with vendors as necessary. Conducts pre-delivery inspections, and coordinates fleet safety assessments, demonstrations, maintenance schedules, and final inspections.

Maintains computer hardware and software in good working condition. Arranges repairs, reviews invoices, and recommends payment.

Performs related duties as assigned.
