This is the Role:
As a key member of the ROCKWOOL Product Management Team, you will own our Thermal & Acoustic light-density portfolio of products, creating and maintaining a strategically well-positioned product portfolio with a focus on improving sales, market share and profitability. This cross-functional role requires a strong commercial understanding of ROCKWOOL products and markets and a keen insight into assessing product commercial viability. This role will be based out of our Head Office in Milton, ON and will report to the Head of Product Management.
- Product lifecycle management including defining the product portfolio strategy
- Lead the execution of product optimization and development projects
- Provide business and market insights with in-depth understanding of GAP and SWOT analyses, competitor audit and analysis, capturing market needs & trends, financial analysis, and pricing recommendations
- Lead recommendation of product pricing with responsibility for portfolio margins and working with sales and specifications teams to execute levers for business growth
- Creating value propositions for ROCKWOOL stone wool products based on market insights obtained through such means as Voice of Customer (VoC) work and market research
- Leverage your knowledge of building codes and construction types for effectiveness, cost, and performance
- Researching new product and market opportunities, developing business cases to evaluate and advance identified opportunities
- Collaborate and build relationships with ROCKWOOL stakeholders including finance, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive growth and profitability in target market segments
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with third-party system partners
- Leverage relationships within the ROCKWOOL Group network and leverage learnings, insights and testing / collaboration when appropriate
- Ensure all product activities have agreed sales targets, establishing and monitoring KPI’s and driving intervention as required

This is What You Offer:

- Bachelor’s Degree in business, commerce, or engineering
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in product management, market analysis, or financial analysis
- Commercial experience in building materials, architectural consulting, or building system development is considered an asset
- Experience working with business systems: SAP is preferred
- Understanding of North American building codes and standards
- PMP, Six Sigma, or similar project management credential is considered an asset
- Exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to track, manage, and meet deadlines
- Strong ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related computer skills
- Ability to independently solve problems and take actions with mínimal supervision
- Ability to travel within the USA and Canada
