**As a new Cook joining our Village Team, you will**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Certified as an assistant cook, Branch 1, under Regulation 1049.
- **Completion of the Food Service Worker Program** from a Community College
- **Holds a valid Food Handlers certification**:

- **Has experience preparing large quantities of food, preferably in a health care or**
**long-term care setting**:

- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Be able to lift up to 35lbs
- Have exceptional time management sills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
- **Knowledge of therapeutic diets including texture modification**:

- Have experience preparing large quantities of food, preferably in a health care or long-term care setting
- As needed Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques
