Benmet Steel & Metal is a **leader in the Canadian scrap and recycling industry** located in the heart of Guelph, ON. We are one of the most established and reputable independent scrap metal processors in Ontario. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team.

**Essential Skills**:
Must be accustomed to repetitive movements, lifting and year round working outdoors in a safe and efficient manner.

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Experience with Oxy-propane torching required
- Minimum of one year of experience with scrap metal and a strong knowledge of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals would be an asset
- Perform general housekeeping duties to keep yard clean and organized
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
- Work outside in a variety of weather conditions

Major duties may include but are not limited to identify/sort various metals, operate Oxy-propane torches, general duties involving physical handling of products, materials, supplies/equipment, and perform general housekeeping as required.

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Guelph, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
