Building Science Project Manager

The Project Manager is a leadership role at RDH. The role, which could be undertaken by either a Technologist, Architect, or Engineer with experience of building enclosure projects, includes contributing to existing building projects, while providing support for the Regional Service Area Leader as a project manager in business development and project delivery.

The role will vary from providing support to more senior staff, to being the day to day contact on projects. Another component of this role will include the training of junior staff, particularly on projects where the staff will report to you on your projects.

The focus will be predominantly in RDH’s Existing Buildings and New Construction practice areas. These projects sometimes overlap with the Energy and Sustainability practice area and involvement in those projects will be possible when the opportunity arises.

There will be a need to attend after-hours client meetings and/or business events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred, or Building Engineering Technology with a focus on building science
- Minimum 5 years experience including extensive site experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or registered Architect preferred, or an ability to become registered within one year
- Understanding of local building codes and municipal permitting processes is an asset
