Whistler, Canada SSR Security Services Full time

We're hiring multiple full-time & part-time security professionals for multiple events in Whistler, Squamish & Pemberton. As an Event Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of high-profile events, ranging from music festivals and sporting events to conferences and VIP gatherings. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment and providing top-notch customer service to event attendees. This position offers a unique chance to work alongside a diverse team of professionals and be part of creating memorable experiences for thousands of people.

**Job Requirements**:

- Must hold a Valid Security License (BST)
- Strong observation and communication skills, the ability to maintain self-control, and the ability to make quick decisions during emergency situations
- Must possess a High School Diploma. An additional diploma/degree/certificate in criminology or a law-enforcement-related study would be considered an asset
- Must be bondable and able to pass a security clearance
- Should be comfortable working alone or within diverse teams and must be able to stick to procedures and set routines
- Must have an open availability
- Must act in a disciplined, honest, and ethical manner

**Travel & Accommodation: Will be provided**

**Available Shifts: Day, Evening, Night**

**Events starting through July 17th, 2023 throughout the summer months. Must be Available for July 29th (Final Event Day).**

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough security checks, including bag inspections, to prevent prohibited items from entering the event premises.
- Monitor event areas, identifying and resolving potential security threats or disturbances proactively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting attendees with inquiries, directions, and crowd management.
- Collaborate with local RCMP and event organizers to maintain order and respond effectively to any emergencies or incidents.
- Enforce event rules and regulations while ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals present.
- Remain vigilant and alert at all times, actively monitoring crowd behavior and identifying potential risks.
- Use excellent communication skills to relay important information to fellow team members and event staff.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and visitors by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel
- Evict trespassers/vagrants
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
