**Responsibilities Include**:

- Perform installation, testing, and maintenance of ETCS around the world.
- Perform cable and device termination in the field on outdoor cabinets.
- Read and follow mechanical, and electrical assembly diagrams to perform installation, testing, and debugging.
- Work at an elevated height above the ground over a highway.
- Employ common electrical and mechanical tools.
- Perform production assembly of electrical and mechanical parts.
- Assist with other duties required to support facility operations.
- Drive and operate company trucks safely.
- Work is often outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions with day, night, and/or weekend shifts as required for prolonged periods.

Work assignments may require working throughout and outside Canada for several weeks at a time.

**Required Skills**:

- Education Requirements: Diploma/Certificate in Electronics/Electrical Technician or Engineering and/or equivalent experience of 5 - 10 years.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of one or more - electronics, electrical, networking, and RF systems.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common electronics, electrical and mechanical components with the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Able to follow instructions/procedures/drawings to assemble electrical/mechanical parts to a complete device/product with minimum supervision.
- Able to perform diagnostic/alignment/acceptance tests of device/circuits with general/special test equipment/tools per applicable procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills specifically in debugging electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience using general test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
- Experience using common and specialized hand tools (torque wrench, coaxial cable/connector crimping tools, screwdrivers, pliers, power hand tools, etc.) and fixtures.
- Able to lift and carry an 18 kg (40 lb) load a minimum of 6 m (18 ft) and work standing for prolonged periods.
- Able to work at heights over 6 meters (20 feet) above live highway traffic on the gantry or aerial lifts; prior experience and certification are definite assets.
- Able to attain certification to operate aerial lift (i.e. bucket truck, scissor lift), and fall arrest and First Aid training.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Desired Skills**:

- Experience installing complex electro-mechanical systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office (Word & Excel) to create/edit documents and spreadsheets.

- Familiarity with Civil Engineering terminology and tasking
- Corrosion prevention
