Quality Tester

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Mill Tester for our gypsum quarry, based in Little Narrows, Nova Scotia.

It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their technical and analytical abilities in a quarry operation within a large corporation.

Duties and responsibilities of the Mill Tester include:

- Must be able to perform all tests required for rock production and shipping.
- Calibrating all Quality instruments is essential to the role.
- Actively monitors quality control communicating information to the Mill Supervisor and Quarry Supervision.
- Knowledge of computer software including Oracle, excel, access, outlook and demonstrate proficiency in record management of various test house reports.
- Must know the general location and function of equipment and operating routines in the mill operation.
- Determines loading plans prior to and during ship loading procedures regarding rock quality and storage location.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a tester or working in a lab environment.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong attention to detail.
