Electro-mechanical Technician

Futech is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician. As such, you will install, maintain and repair industrial electronic-electrical equipment including variable speed drives, and a wide variety of automated control systems ranging from simple on-off control and motor to industrial control panels.

**Job description & Duties**

Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates.

Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation.

Inspect parts for surface defects.

Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies and hand tools.

Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.

Repair, rework systems to meet operational specifications.

Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters.

**Troubleshooting** -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

**Commissioning **- Perform pre-star-up verification, programming, commission and finalize report.

**Maintenance **-Cleaning units, taking reading

**Qualifications Required**

A college degree plus 1 year of related experience within the electrical industry or a combination of education and experience

Good organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal & written and an ability to impart knowledge

Product knowledge of the electrical business is essential

The ability to pay careful attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license
