Intermediate Hydrogeological Modeller

Vancouver, Canada SRK Consulting Full time

We are seeking an **intermediate** hydrogeological modeler** with experience and aptitude producing a conceptualization of the geological and hydrogeological controls of a model and integrating those into a numerical model to address key issues and questions.

This position will be based in our Vancouver office. Remote location work will not be possible.

**Description of Responsibilities**:

- A minimum of a masters or higher degree in geology, geological/civil engineering, or physical geography, with emphasis on geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, environmental engineering, and geotechnical (rock) skills.
- At least three years of consulting or mining experience, preferably among the disciplines listed.
- Technical proficiency in groundwater numerical modelling (finite difference and/or finite element - FEFLOW preferred).
- Proficiency in coding and statistics.
- Experience with or proficiency in 3D geological modelling software (Leapfrog preferred).
- Self-motivated with a desire to work both as part of multi-disciplinary teams and independently.
- Able to work long hours in the field, tolerating remote and variable weather conditions.
- Strong writing skills.
- Excellent oral and presentation skills.
- Professional registration in BC or current eligibility to obtain it.
- Valid driver’s license valid for use in Canada with a good driving record.
- Currently eligible to work in Canada.
