Complete a variety of general duties within the manufacturing shop to assist skilled tradespeople enabling them to focus on specialized tasks in a clean and safe environment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitor shop cleanliness, identify potential safety hazards due to untidiness, advise supervisor and clean up accordingly
- Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures; inform management on unsafe practices
- Prioritize and complete all tasks assigned by Machine Shop Manager in a timely manner
- Complete a variety of tasks including but not limited to painting, general shop maintenance, assisting with assembly of automated machines, using the forklift to move parts, etc.
- Ship and receive parts through BOS receiving process and distribute where directed including creating packing slips and receiving items in our ERP software
- Operate band saw
- Operate over head crane and forklift
- Maintain equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance on laser marker and black oxide equipment
- Black oxide/coatings
- Assist with deliveries of components and pick-ups of shop materials ordered
- Other duties as assigned

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**

- Entering information into our ERP/part tracking software.

**Requirements**:

- Valid G Driver's License required
- OSSD or equivalent

**Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of health and safety and safe operation procedures
- Understanding of manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills

**Abilities**:

- Lift heavy objects on a regular basis
- Follow instructions and work independently
- Safely operate various hand and power tools
- Forklift experience and license an asset - Training available
- Proper load securing for transport
