Material Handler

Responsibilities:
Load, Unload, and Move Materials: Safely and efficiently load and unload products and materials by hand or using various material handling equipment.

Household and Furniture Handling: Move household appliances and furniture onto and off moving trucks or vans with utmost care and attention.

Material Handling Activities: Perform a range of material handling activities, including counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking according to established procedures.

Operation of Loading Devices: Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks, railway cars, and loading docks of warehouses and industrial establishments.

Equipment Operation: Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders, and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles, loading docks, and within warehouse facilities.

Bulk Material Handling: Operate equipment to dump materials such as coal, ore, and grain into or remove materials from railway cars, trucks, or other vehicles.

Conveyor Operation: Operate conveyors and equipment to transfer grain or other materials from transportation vehicles to elevators, bins, or other storage areas.

General Warehouse Tasks: Perform additional activities such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory, and weighing and checking materials.

**Requirements**:
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.

Ability to operate various material handling equipment and industrial trucks.

Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.

Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.

Familiarity with warehouse procedures and inventory management.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Flexibility to work in varying environments and schedules.

Knowledge of basic maintenance and troubleshooting of material handling equipment is a plus.

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
