Super Scientist Inc. provide STEM education for elementary students using hands-on immersive experiments and projects.

We work with customers through camps, classes, after school clubs, school science projects and engineering challenges and school in-class STEM courses. We are looking for passionate, driven, knowledgeable, caring people to partner with us in teaching key life-skills like problem solving and critical thinking. We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable tutors to assist us with our In-school, After-school and Summer programs.

Job description

Excellent communication skills are essential, and they will need to use their sense of humour to bring fun to the class. Probably they will have some science/engineering in their background.

This person will have 1-3 years experience working with students in a mentoring/tutoring capacity and be capable of delivering a class independently. Ideally, they will have some qualification in education or experience of working in education.

**Responsibilities: -**

Delivering pre-planned classes to students in age range 6-13 yo. In an engaging and fun manner.

Controlling class behaviour and ensuring all class participants complete their work.

Safe Arrival and dismissal of students

Independent supervision of group of students

Supervision of classroom assistants

Responsible for implementation of safe practice and prevention of unsafe practices for both staff and students.

Stock replenishment and control

Recommending improvements and updates to existing practice and lessons

Creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere for students

Assisting struggling students to complete tasks.

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
