**_Position Description: _**

Integra Support Services is a dynamic and expanding social service agency on Vancouver Island. We offer a broad range of services, supports and opportunities to adults and children who live with diverse abilities and intellectual challenges. Our focus is person specific and centered.

As a Support Worker, you will follow the direction of the Program Coordinator, function as part of a team to provide for the daily living needs of individuals in the community and contribute to all operational aspects of the program as defined in the Job Description.

This position is open to male and female applicants. This position requires union membership.

**Schedule**:
**Sunday**: 3:30pm - 10:30pm (7 Hours), **Monday**: 3:30pm - 9:30pm (6 Hours), **Tuesday**: Off, **Wednesday**: Off, **Thursday**: Off, **Friday**: 3:30pm - 10:00pm (6.5 Hours), **Saturday**: 3:30pm - 10:00pm (6.5 Hours), **Total = 26 hours**

**_Qualifications: _**
- Grade 12 required; minimum of a diploma or certificate in a field related to human services, or experience in a related field preferred
- Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C certification
- Medical certificate confirming physical, mental and emotional suitability necessary for position
- TB Test
- BC Criminal Records Review Program Clearance
- Graduation from a recognized related program such as the Community Support Worker Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence an asset
- Clear current Driver’s Abstract
- NVCI or SIVA training an asset

**_Skills: _**
- Understanding of & Willingness to commit to Essence of Life, Personal Value Statements, Guiding Principles, Living Culture of the Home and Moral Leadership
- Commitment to accompany individual on day excursions into the community
- Familiarity with site specific care plans and shift routines is an asset
- SIVA training recommended. Must have experience working with high behaviours and anxieties
