The **Director, People & Culture** will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our organization's people strategy and will be responsible for creating and implementing initiatives that align with our values, support our mission, and enhance the overall employee experience.***What to be excited for in this role**:
**Culture and Employee Engagement**:

- Foster and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects the organization's values.
- Develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure departmental initiatives support business priorities and drive organizational success.

**Employee Relations**:

- Act as a trusted advisor for employees and management on people-related issues.
- Implement fair and consistent HR policies and procedures, addressing employee relations matters with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain people & culture principles/policies, and documentation in compliance with employment standards, human rights, and other industry regulations.
- Lead investigations into harassment complaints and ensure fair and thorough resolution.
- Oversee the performance management process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and providing guidance on continuous improvement.

**Compensation, People Metrics and Reporting**:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage competitive compensation.
- Utilize financial acumen and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the impact of people & culture initiatives on organizational performance.

**Leadership, Coaching and Organizational Design**:

- Provide formal leadership and mentorship to people & culture team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Coach and support leaders across the organization in areas such as employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design and optimize organizational structures that support business objectives.
- Lead succession planning initiatives to identify and develop high-potential talent for key roles.

**What we need from you**:

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. A CPHR designation is an asset.
- 7-8 years of progressive and diverse HR experience.
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Ability to work with the utmost of discretion, professional confidentiality and privacy adhering to strong professional ethics.
- Extensive experience in handling tough conversations, resolving employee relations issues, problem solving complex matters and navigating organizational change.
- Strong understanding of employment standards, human rights legislation, and best practices in HR governance.
- Ability to manage expectations of, and strategically support, high volume of multiple stakeholders from different departments.
- Proven ability to lead harassment complaints investigations with integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success in coaching leaders and driving cultural change within an organization.
- Strong financial acumen and experience using analytics to inform people & culture strategies and decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- A self-starter with a collaborative, thoughtful and flexible approach to solving problems and achieving results.
- Capable of embracing and adapting comfortably to rapid change and ambiguity and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.**Why you should join us**
