**Barrantes Community Inc.** is seeking a Rehabilitation Associate devoted to helping clients achieve their goals. A successful applicant must:
- Maintain a high standard of care, compassion, and commitment.
- Have the proven ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting.
- Have the proven ability to work with a neurodiverse population; including, but not limited to, clients with acquired brain injuries, dual-diagnosis, and complex behaviours.
- Be familiar with in-home and community-based rehabilitation programs.
- Have the proven ability to work with clients with an ABI, serious trauma, and/or physical limitations.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain access to a vehicle for travel in the community.
- Possess valid First Aid and CPR training.
- Be able to obtain a valid, negative Vulnerable Sector Check.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain rapport with clients as required.
- Assist with and advocate for clients’ needs.
- Implement effective and diverse rehabilitation strategies as they relate to Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
- Create a supportive and collaborative environment in order to maximize clients’ potential.
- Provide urgent response for clients in crisis.
- Complete clinical documentation using SOAP formatting after each client visit, adhering to the highest standards of comprehension, detail, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Collaborate and communicate with team members as needed.
**Other Responsibilities**:
- Participate in ongoing professional development through company workshops and/or external learning opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
**Experience**:
- 3+ years in the social service sector, working in a multidisciplinary team
- CPI/Safe Management Group training an asset.
- Additional training in rehabilitation and behaviour support is considered an asset.
**Education**:
- A successful applicant is a graduate of a recognized degree or diploma program (e.g., rehabilitation services, disability studies, psychology, BSW, DSW, PSW, OTA/PTA).
- OBIA Level 1 Neurorehabilitation, OBIA Brain Basics, OBIA Certificate Training Program, as well as related trainings, are preferred.
