The Technical Writer performs specialized writing and presentation activities to support new construction project delivery services. This includes drafting and disseminating technical guides and instructions, preparing and delivering presentations, and organizing and delivering training and development seminars.

- Provide support and direction to team members involved in document development
- Prepare various documents (e.g. slide decks) and develop diagrams for technical publications

**SKILLS**
**General and Specific Knowledge**

**Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience**
- **Minimum**:university degree in communications or related field that includes technical writing with approximately two years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent

**Abilities**
- Use applicable computer software and operating systems
- Write effectively and deliver presentations
- Ensure accuracy in written documentation through attention to detail

**DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP**
- Provide functional advice and guidance to employees

To begin a career with Defence Construction Canada (DCC), you must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. As a condition of employment with DCC, a minimum reliability security status clearance is required and some roles may require secret security status clearance.
