In this role you will be responsible for overall corporate treasury, Funding operations & payment strategy,including research and market analysis across the competitive landscape and anticipated industry trends arising from payments modernization. The Director, Treasury will develop a corporate strategic plan and perspective on modernization opportunities in areas within or immediately adjacent to core business that support long-term strategic growth plan for FCT’s business units reliant on funding or payment technology. The Treasurer will also have responsibility for corporate liquidity risk, cash and capital management, maintaining bank and investment management relationships, Policies and procedures, complex bank reconciliations, operational controls including PCI DSS, finance and treasury operations including funding/payment system development.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Partner with FCT’s product divisions to develop new revenue opportunities through value propositions created by advancing automation of payment capabilities while minimizing risk to the organization and the customers it serves.- Define and manage the enterprise payment capabilities and implement the operational structure appropriate to support the on-going and changing needs of the various business units nationally.- Identify new payment and treasury partnerships through service providers, merger, or acquisitions.- Support definition of long-term partner management strategies to optimize economics/ influence industry rules.- Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the organization’s financial health.- Aggregate organizational needs, requests, and plans to develop yearly financial and capacity planning including resource strategies to ensure successful delivery of Finance and enterprise payment initiatives.- Act as the lead for solving complex strategic and analytic challenges that face FCT and build frameworks and models to support grounded recommendations.- Provide senior management oversight and direction to the corporate treasury function at FCT. Key areas that require effective and timely delivery include cash management and projections, liquidity management, credit facility management including corporate guarantees, and customer account and collections management.- Provide broad expertise in payments economics, offerings, and propositions across markets for solution teams, product teams and other key partners.HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- University Degree with a strong background in treasury and an understanding of the finance technologies used to support payment functions.- In-depth knowledge of Canada’s payment clearing and settlement infrastructure, including associated retail and high-value systems, bylaws, rules, procedures, and standards. Working knowledge of SWIFT and merchant payment processing platforms (STRIPE, Versa pay)- 10+ years of related experience- CTP - considered an asset.- Advanced Project Management or Lean process methodology- Strong experience leading and coaching teams. Proven leadership and decision-making skills.- Experience in Financial Services industry will be considered an asset.- Experience in the development and documentation of governance processes- Advanced collaboration skills and ability to build positive work relationships.- Ability to work in a team environment.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within strict timeframes / deadlines.- Strong computer skills
