**About the role***:
**Ecclesiastical Insurance Canada**, who are proudly part of **Benefact Group**, are looking for a **Business Systems Analyst** to join our **Toronto** office.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Research and recommend solutions to enable additional business capabilities
- Work with business partners to identify problems and opportunities and investigate and implement solutions to support the business strategy
- Collaborate with business owners/executives/impacted parties to ensure that outcomes are clearly articulated and understood
- Perform gap analysis and flush out requirements for required detail to support development and quality assurance
- Documenting functional and technical solutions, test artifacts, service introduction and communication/ change management plans
- Generate ad-hoc reports to support business decisions and business intelligence
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement opportunities
- Assist with testing and operational readiness for various initiatives
- Provide support for process analysis, define best practices and stive for continuous improvement
- Other duties and projects as assigned

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in property and casualty insurance industry.
- Microsoft Office suite of tools (including Visio)
- Demonstrated experience with business process analysis
- Excellent facilitation and interviewing skills
- Ability to facilitate the identification of business problems, objectives, etc. and define process and/or technology solutions
- Ability to identify and document business and functional requirements
- Ability to develop a business case/ cost benefit analysis
- Ability to document procedures and/or user guides for new tools
- Ability to identify and evaluate risk and define appropriate controls
- Competent in SQL query language for ad-hoc reporting
- Dynamics 365 and/or Filemaker experience nice-to-have
