**Position Objective**:

- Work on the surface of motor vehicles, primarily in restoring vehicles to their original condition following damage or subsequent auto body repair;
- Prepare vehicle to be painted and execute using knowledge of specialty painting techniques
- Promote and attain all manufacturer standards for superior workmanship.

**Qualifications**
- Technically knowledgeable, experienced;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective listening and communication skills;
- Ability to follow all safety procedures;
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities;
- Good visual acuity to assess work performance;
- 3-5 years auto body paint experience.

**Technical Responsibilities**:

- Remove layers of sub-coating and ensure that paint mixes match desired colour.
- Prepare vehicle for paint by removing dust, debris, rust, etc. from surface;
- Ensure that vehicle components which are not being painted are masked or removed completely prior to painting.
- Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with factory and Company standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper completion of work;
- Understand and follow federal, provincial and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- auto body painting: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
