**JOIN OUR TEAM**

We are looking for a motivated ESL Instructor to join our _MOSAIC engage_ team, teaching **CELPIP Preparation**, at our new Language Centre in Metrotown Shopping Centre.

**POSITION FUNCTION**:

- Under the direction of the program coordinator, instructors will lead student-centred English classes for a diverse clientele of adult learners,
- Instructors will plan learning objectives and lesson plans based on the requirements and format of the CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program), helping students to prepare for this high stakes language assessment.
- Instructors are responsible for planning and delivering practical, engaging English lessons, creating a welcoming and encouraging class environment, assessing and evaluating student progress, maintaining attendance records and other administrative duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Demonstrable knowledge of the CELPIP test.
- Experience preparing students for high stakes English language assessment.
- Highly organized, tactful, versatile, and flexible with excellent communication skills; sensitive to and understanding of the needs of adult immigrant learners; attitudes and values in keeping with the goals and philosophies of MOSAIC.
- Recognized undergraduate degree and a TESL Canada recognized TESL certificate or a clearly documented equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching adult ESL, particularly using student-centered, participatory methods.

**HOURS**:
7.5 hours per week (6 instructional + 25% for prep)

Start date is March 4th 2024

Schedule is 2 evenings per week (Mon+Thurs 6:00pm-9:00pm)

**BENEFITS**:
