**The position**

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be a hands-on Human Resource generalist to support the day-to-day HR operations and programs. You will work cross-functionally with all teams and provide guidance and support to employees and management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
- Support the finance team to manage payroll and benefits administration and handle employee inquiries.
- Organize and manage logistics for new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
- Maintain updated employee files and employee records, ensure the completion of all necessary documents, and facilitate their processing.
- Create and lead the performance management system, including goal setting, regular feedback, performance reviews, and feedback processes.
- Support managers in addressing performance issues and implementation performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Developing, implementing, and upholding HR policies, procedures, and processes for compliance with legislation, best practices and promotes a positive workplace culture.
- Organize and facilitate team events to foster a sense of connection among the team.
- Help develop and improve HR procedures and systems for overall operations.
- Be part of the Health and Safety Committee to increase safety across all departments
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.

**What you bring to the role**
- 5+ years of experience in HR and an eagerness to develop one’s skills and knowledge.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems and software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Possess a welcoming demeanor and have a natural ability to connect with others both professionally and personally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Health & Safety experience and working with WSIB on claims and follow ups
- Exceptional organizational skills and great attention to detail that allows for proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and care is a fundamental requirement for this role.

**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
- Member of Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CHRP/ CHRA) an asset
