Directional Driller

**Broadband Maintenance Inc.** is a Telecommunication Construction Company in the Ottawa and surrounding area. We are actively seeking experienced Directional Drillers to join our team.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Operation and maintenance of drilling/bore equipment & locator (Ditch Witch, Vermeer)
- Read and interpret project plans, diagrams and locates
- Performs work including, drilling and or box locating, plus installation of conduits for various cables
- Able to lead, coach and mentor new employees
- Work under customers’ standards related to horizontal directional drilling; adhering to site specific rules and regulations
- Maintains and records accurate daily drilling activities
- Performs all other duties as required by supervisor/manager

**Job Qualifications**:

- Hold valid Ontario G drivers license for at least 3 years, with a clean abstract (AZ/DZ license is a strong asset)
- Ability to read plans and locates is a must
- Experienced preferred with minimum 2 years directional drilling experience
- Experience in operation of heavy machinery
- Relevant telecom experience or construction experience preferred
- Knowledge of fibre and conduit installation an asset
- Ability to work in varied outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 + pounds

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
