**Job Description - Manager, Home Services**

**Description**:
The Manager, Home Services is responsible for the efficient coordination and delivery of installation and service-related activities to Victoria Lifeline (VLL) clients across VLL’s serving area, with oversight of inventory control and service representatives. Reporting to the Executive
Director, the position will maintain in-depth policy, process, and product knowledge to provide support, deliver training, and ensure steady progress towards organizational goals, while creating a rewarding work environment for staff and volunteer personnel. The Manager, Home Services is a key member of Victoria Lifeline’s Leadership Team.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

Key responsibilities include delivery of home services within Winnipeg and across a network of partner programs in Manitoba, inventory management, and volunteer/staff management.
- Collaborates closely with the Manager, Client Services to ensure seamless delivery of services across the organization.
- Monitors workflow of service representatives to facilitate excellent customer service and enhance productivity; supervises individual performance and provides coaching as needed.
- Maintains product knowledge, liaising with equipment manufacturer regarding inventory and technology challenges and changes.
- Delivers job-specific training to service representatives and partner programs as needed.
- Provides frontline troubleshooting and support to service representatives and partner programs as needed.
- Responsible for forecasting requirements, developing an annual budget, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Evaluates impact and prepares teams for policy, process, and product changes.
- Conducts urgent service calls when required, including equipment installation and exchanges.
- Adheres to all health and safety regulations and demonstrates safe work practices.

**Education & Experience**:

- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline of business, social services, health care, or nonprofit management, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operational supervisory position.
- Certificate in volunteer management.
- An equivalent combination of related education and experience will be considered.

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Proven ability to lead change and innovation.
- Superior organization and customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated strengths in active listening, critical thinking, and persuasion.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical aptitude with the ability to evaluate complex issues and identify resolution.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to use and learn new technology.
- Demonstrated ease in using computers and MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Self-motivated with a natural inclination to take initiative.
- Ability to perform the position on a regular basis.
- Experience scheduling and dispatching service technicians would be an asset.
- Experience working with seniors would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Lifeline services would be an asset.
- Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation.
