**Responsibilities o Apprentice Plumber**:

- Receives direction as to scope of work from Foreman or Lead hand
- Ensure they work under the direction of a Journeyman/Foreman to transfer knowledge and be able to complete the Certificate of Qualification.
- Responsible for drainage, waste and venting systems, fixtures and appliances
- Works with different types of piping such as black carbon or steel, plastic, glass or pyrex, copper
- Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Determines layout of systems and networks
- Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing fixtures and systems
- Locates and marks position of pipe connections, holes and fixtures
- Cuts holes to accommodate pipes and fittings
- Measures, cuts, bends and threads pipes in place
- Joins pipes with couplings, clamps, screws, bolts or cement
- Solder or braze piping
- Inspect and test pipes for leaks
- Determines piping system requirements and pipe sizing
- Abides by all safety procedures and policies

**The ideal Apprentice Plumber will have**:

- Certificates: Working at Heights, Aerial Platforms, Confine Space or any other certifications considered an asset
- Valid Ontario's Driver's License
- Own basic hand tools and safety shoes
- Good command of the English language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent work ethics and reliability

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
