**Painter/Blaster**

As a _**Painter/Blaster **_you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to work in the agricultural manufacturing Sector. **This position is open in both our Salford and Norwich Locations**. Reporting to the Assembly & Paint Supervisor, you will be responsible for painting parts for the painting of various parts for agricultural machinery.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Responsible for steel paint production as projects come out of the fabrication process, and enter the paint booth
- Ability to blast frames and parts evenly with the correct amount of penetration.
- Have the ability to use power, air, and hand tools as well as general maintenance of the blast booth.
- Maintain detailed records pertaining to projects including; mil readings, paint consumption, and ambient environment readings
- Take direction from Assembly & Paint Supervisor as needed for specific products or projects
- Prioritize projects based on project requirements, and lead times
- Follow all health and safety procedures as outlined in the hourly employee handbook
- Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat stationary items or items on moving conveyor system with protective or decorative coatings
- Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment. Clean other equipment including; paint booth, conveyors, cones, spray heads, etc. as required.

**Minimum Requirements**
- 1-2 years of industrial painting in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Must be familiar with wet paint techniques and have a good understanding of paint equipment
- Ability to work independently and work with a partner to move large pieces. Work as a member of a team in a production line and collaborate with one another to resolve quality problems as needed.
- Learn on the job and read a variety of materials to learn about new products and equipment. Take safety courses, such as training in the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and in proper use of respirators and other safety equipment as needed.
