The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

**Accessing Opportunities at Côté Gold**

**SECURITY SUPERVISOR**

Lead and coordinate Security Guard resources for Côté Gold. Lead the team to deliver safe, responsible and effective security services including detecting, deterring, observing and reporting incidents. Support, coach, train and create space for the Security Guards to be successful.

**Key Responsibilities**

Area 1:
Leading and coordinating Security resources.
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Supervise Security personnel to deliver security services to Côté Gold.
- Understand operations activities and collaborate closely with other personnel in coordinating security activities.
- Lead and empower employees in achieving world class security services and improve employee work performance and efficiency through mentorship and feedback.
- Create space for the team to be effective in delivering results.
- Foster an inclusive work environment.
- Provide clear work objectives and expectations of the performance levels required to achieve business plans and security targets.
- Ensure that training is provided in accordance with the current and future needs of Côté Gold.
- Ensure the required resources (people and equipment) are in place to achieve targets.
- Promote a high performance culture by setting expectations, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback and coaching.
- Offer new approaches, methods or policies to optimize performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.
- Administer and comply with system requirements in a manner consistent with policies, procedures and regulations.
- Perform worksite inspections and safe work observations; participate in and lead investigations.

Area 2:
Operational excellence.
- Seek opportunities to improve security services.
- Be proactive and solution driven and implement operational improvements.
- Be obsessive in optimizing security.
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
- Continually seek to improve your skills as a Supervisor, Security.
- Watch for inefficiencies or problems.
- Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.
- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost).

Area 3:
Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.
- Provides leadership and direction to the Security Guards and other stakeholders to ensure that the business objectives are met.
- Coordinate with other team members on site to meet shift deliverables.
- Mentor and train new team members.
- Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.

Qualifications

**Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves**

minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents
- Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in police foundations, law and security or a related program.
- Certified Protection Officer or other similar designation is considered an asset.

Work experience - Nature & Length
- 5 or more years’ experience in security or police related role.
- 2 or more years supervisory experience leading a team of security professionals.
- 2 or more years’ experience supervising a Security Operation Center.
- Mining, specifically gold mining experience is considered an asset.

Additional qualifications - Competency requirements
- Demonstrated ability to engage and empower multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proven communication skills, both verbal, written and non-verbal.
- Understand efficiency drivers in security optimization.
- Self-motivated individual who is driven to find solutions and strive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
