Port Carling Golf & Country Club is recruiting a skilled and professional individual who has a passion for hospitality and a focus on creating memorable experiences for members.
**Responsibilities**:
- Attend weekly menu creation meeting
- Attend pre-service meetings
- Prepare dishes as per the standards outlined by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- Clean and portion primal cuts of meat
- Clean and prepare fish and seafood
- Braise and grill meat and vegetables.
- Check that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
- Prevent cross-contamination.
- Prepare meals in accordance with customers' preferences, if applicable.
- Track the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that your workstation always remains clean and orderly.
- Inform the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
- Track inventory to ensure that you always have adequate supplies.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a cook, preferably fine dining.
- Desire for continuous learning and professional development.
- Capacity to stand for long hours.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety guidelines.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Level-headed with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the production of high-quality outputs and excellent customer service.
- Ability to work shifts, over weekends, and on holidays, as required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
