**Responsibilities and Duties**:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Assemble new control boxes, cables, harnesses, and other electrical components as required.
- Follow current drawings when assembling products.
- Test and repair electrical and electromechanical products where required.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks.
- Improve efficiency and quality assembly processes.
- Cross train into other assembly and production areas.
- Test, identify, and package all assembled products where required.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines - report any safety concerns with equipment or procedure.
- Follow Kanban systems and build to priority order sheets as required.
- Understand and follow the “Pull” type systems in current use.
- Follow VMAC material planning system, ordering parts, or notifying parts need to be ordered as required.
- Wear required PPE including a respirator as needed.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Soldering skills desired and good hand-eye co-ordination required.
- Assertive self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
- Excellent English written and communication skills.
- High energy level with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- 1-3 years of experience in areas such as electronics, manufacturing, or assembly considered an asset.
