CNC Operator

Celebrating over 30 years in business, Mid Island Cabinets is a leading manufacturer of quality custom European style cabinets. We are locally owned and operated, based in beautiful Parksville BC. Our cutting edge facility is home to over 30,000 square feet of manufacturing, distribution and office space. This manufacturing space allows us to build a wide range of custom products, including cabinet boxes, various medium-density fibre board doors, slab-veneer doors, mirror frames, and other custom millwork.

We have an immediate opening for a **CNC / Edgebander Operator** at our Parksville head office.

We are looking for a cross-trained operator that can effectively run our two CNC's and our Edgebander. Our CNC is a Komo VR510 Mach 1 with an 8-bit tool change. The second CNC is an Onsrud S-series with a 24-bit tool change. Our edgebander is a Holzer Sprint Classic. The second edgebander is an IMA Novimat Compact.

The CNC Position will need to be able to:

- read basic G-code to verify tools
- fly-cut decks and calibrate tool bits
- upload and read nests as well as label parts
- basic machine maintenance to be completed regularly

The Edgebanding Position will need to be able to:

- read blueprints
- know when to change glues depending on tape used
- basic machine maintenance to be completed regularly

**Salary**: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
