Currently, the new 400,000 sq.ft. battery module assembly facility is being built at GM CAMI Assembly Ingersoll for BrightDrop Zevo production as well as additional Ultium EVs built at other GM plants.

GM CAMI Assembly was the only automotive manufacturing facility in Canada that received the _Natural Resources Canada ENERGY STAR for Industry certification _during two consecutive years (2018, 2019) and recognized as three-time winner of the _ENERGY STAR certification _(2018 - 2020).

**Key areas of responsibility include**:
As an Environmental Leader supporting the CAMI Assembly Plant onsite you will have the opportunity to lead the waste (hazardous & non
- hazardous) and process wastewater compliance program (onsite WWTP), air and GHG regulatory reporting (NPRI, GHG, EPS) and support the environmental management system (ISO 14001 certification) while being responsible for developing programs to reduce environmental risk and improve operational efficiency.
- Engage with the _Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks _and any other local regulatory agencies to ensure implementation of robust environmental programs and to build relationships that support innovation and expedient resolution of concerns. (One Team)

- Utilize technology and information to develop and maintain environmental management systems in support of GM’s mission to deliver data driven solutions that allow us to operate efficiently now and in the future. (Innovate Now)

**Qualifications**

**Required Skills**:

- Working knowledge of Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles and ability to integrate environmental requirements into the GMS framework at the site.

**Additional Skills**:

- Highly developed oral and written communications skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- The ability to develop and lead teams.
- Experience with analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex data or situations so that others, including senior leadership, can comprehend, respond and contribute.
- High level of enthusiasm, persistence, leadership ability, initiative, and experienced judgment to identify priorities, initiate projects, and complete activities in a timely fashion.
- Experience working externally with regulators or other public or private sector individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage smaller projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.

**Experience**
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in environmental engineering or related science, preferably at a manufacturing operation.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations, preferably at more than one location.

**Education**
- Post Secondary Education is required, preferably in engineering or related environmental sciences
- P. Eng preferred
