Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation is looking for an outgoing, passionate and organized individual to join our small team as our summer Marketing Coordinator.

**About the position**:
The Summer Marketing Coordinator works as part of a small fundraising team working to develop and implement marketing and fundraising materials, donor stewardship programs, and public outreach initiatives in Regional Parks and beyond. This role includes an opportunity to represent the Foundation at the Fair at the PNE in late summer. Most work can be done during regular weekday hours, but some weekend and evening hours will be required. This temporary, full-time role is perfect for someone looking to start their career working for non-profits and learn fundamental fundraising, marketing, and database skills.

**Note: This is a full-time, temporary employee contract: 40 hours a week for 8 weeks**

**Job Duties**:

- Act as a face to face public ambassador and fundraiser for MVRP Foundation, representing the goals and mission of the charity;
- Speak with donors on the phone about the work they support and donations;
- Organize in-park locations for public outreach with park stakeholders;
- Collaborate with the Director of Development to design and implement fundraising and donor stewardship campaigns and help grow our community of amazing supporters;
- Execute basic database tasks in a Donor Perfect database, including data entry, queries, and reports (training provided);
- Work within the brand guidelines and with the organization’s creative vision;
- Adhere to charitable sector best practices including the AFP's Code of Ethical Standards;
- Attend meetings and events as needed, including some evening and weekends throughout the summer;
- Attend a major public fair as the Foundation's ambassador throughout the end of summer;
- Other duties as required.

**Qualities & Requirements**
- Previous work with face to face public outreach or fundraising considered an asset;
- A background in non-profits, fundraising, sales, or environmental education considered an asset;
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal record check;
- Professional attitude, must be comfortable interacting with the public, acting as an ambassador of the Foundation, and asking for donations (training will be provided);
- Ability to work outside, standing and moving for an extended period of time;
- Ability to stay motivated and the willingness to work independently ;
- Being structured, detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and highly responsible;
- Being open to new ideas, feedback, and the ability to work cohesively with a team.

**Requirements**:

- Access to a vehicle (you will be reimbursed for gas mileage and travel time);
- Flexibility to travel to different regional park and event locations as required;
- Must under the age of 30 and fulfill all other Canada Summer Jobs requirements.

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
