**Job Overview**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Auto Body Apprentice to join our team. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in auto body repair and restoration under the guidance of experienced technicians. As an apprentice, you will receive training in all aspects of auto body work, including frame repair, painting, and refinishing. You will gain invaluable experience while working with advanced tools and techniques in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with the repair and replacement of damaged vehicle body parts, including panels, bumpers, and doors.
- Learn to repair and align vehicle frames, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
- Help with sanding, prepping, and painting vehicle surfaces to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
- Use various hand and power tools under supervision, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
- Help with the removal and installation of parts such as windows, mirrors, and trim.
- Assist in the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts as part of the repair process.
- Keep a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality standards throughout all tasks.
- Work closely with mentors and technicians to develop knowledge of industry-standard repair techniques and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure work is completed on time and to satisfaction.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some technical school training in automotive repair or bodywork is a plus).
- A strong interest in learning about auto body repair and the automotive industry.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to work with various hand and power tools.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from more experienced technicians.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in an auto body shop or similar environment is an advantage, but not required.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
