At SMS Equipment - our **Technical Trainer - Parts** **supports business activities by understanding SMS Equipment’s training requirements and supporting programs designed to meet the needs of internal SMS Parts department employees. The **Technical Trainer - Parts** will assist in the evaluation, development and delivery of training materials that support the Company’s ongoing business initiatives. **The role can be based out of any SMS Equipment branch location.**

This position offers a **hybrid** **work arrangement which allows you to work from home up to 50% of the time.

The salary for this position is **$102,000 - $120,000.**

**Responsibilities include but are not limited too**:

- Collaborate with Parts business owners, managers, and supervisors to understand the training needs of the employees and management.
- Awareness of organizational requirements by functional group and current training programs.
- Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of the parts business.
- Support training and development initiatives through researching trends in training and development.
- Utilize specific business knowledge to develop and refine training documentation.
- Assemble and teach specific training courses, workshops, and seminars, under the direction of the Supervisor, Training
- Provide specific functional business area expertise as needed throughout training events.
- Evaluate training and development effectiveness.
- Provide feedback on employee attendance and participation at training events.

**Qualifications**:

- Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.
- Ability to operate in a diverse environment with a significant focus on client and customer relations is essential.
- Strong presentation and communication skills and able to clearly explain information and processes.
- Highly organised with good judgement and a positive attitude.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Travel may be required.
