**Overview**:
The instructor will provide an enriching learning environment for students by using holistic and career-oriented teaching methods. The instructor will ensure students progress effectively by maintaining an organized and structured classroom environment. The administration of assignments, tests, projects, and exams will help students stay engaged and give the instructor an accurate gauge of student success. The instructor will work under the NACIT guidance and supervision of the Department of Academic Affairs

**About The Role**

We are seeking a Medical Esthetician Instructor, who is passionate about the beauty industry and skincare to mentor aspiring Medical Estheticians.

**Responsibilities Include**
- Observe students to determine qualifications, limitations, abilities, interests, and other, individual characteristics.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives effectively to students.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying need, abilities, and interests.
- Instruct students in groups, using various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
- Provide clear, precise, and consistent direction and support to students.

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent track record in customer service & support
- Exceptional track record in communication, influence, collaboration, and teamwork
- Experience in an environment which requires “out of the box” thinking and solution-minded.
- Previous training and /or facilitation experience is considered an asset.
- Satisfactory CPIC Criminal Background Check and Employment References
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Must have experience with Manicures/Pedicures, Waxing, Facials, Massage/ Body Treatments, Makeup Application, and the following Advanced Medical Procedures**:

- Microdermabrasion
- Advanced Facial and Chemical Exfoliation Techniques
- Laser Hair Removal
- IPL Hair Removal
- Facial Rejuvenation Services
- IPL Photo Rejuvenation
- Skin Tightening Procedures
- Wrinkle and Scar Reduction Practices
- Cellulite Reduction Procedures

**Qualification And Experience**:

- Have 48 months of work experience in the vocation OR
- Have 36 months of teaching experience in the vocation and 24 months of work experience in the vocation OR
- Have 24 months of work experience in the vocation AND
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university or an equivalent degree.
- Graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent
- Graduate of a registered Ontario Career College or equivalent in Esthetic.
- Meet Instructor qualification standards as outlined in the Regulations to Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Medical Esthetician in each area taught in the program.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- teaching: 3 years (preferred)
