Baker Assistant

Responsibilties:

- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods under the guidance of our head baker
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, ensuring appropriate proportions and consistency
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens & mixers
- Monitor baking process, adjusting temperature and timing as needed to achieve desired results
- Decorate and present baked goods in a visually appealing manner
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Wash dishes and maintaining a clean work space
- Inventory counts, receive shipments and restocking

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Baker or relevant culinary training is preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality baked goods
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other cafe staff
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as per business needs
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
