INTRODUCTION:
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.
We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Recommend ways to improve physical security
- Ensure that the shift adheres to the Post Orders and CGL Policies & Procedures
- Handle confidential information with a high level of discretion
- Assist with training new staff
- Provide leadership to the shift
- Submit daily reports to the Site Supervisor
- Monitor CCTV cameras
- Conduct patrols
- Respond to emergencies and building alarms
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and deportment
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional working relationship with employees, visitors, and clients
- Complete the site reporting requirements, and written reports when required
- Other duties may be required by the client
WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- **MUST** Ontario Security Guard License
- **MUST** Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- The ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols
- Strong understanding of computers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make quick and sound decisions
- Customer service/reception skills

- Job Type: Full Time
- Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.76
- Hours of work: Week 1: 0000 - 0800 (Tuesday to Friday) and 0000 - 1200 (Saturday). Week 2: 1600 - 0000 (Monday to Friday)
- Location: 33 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario
