**Description**:
Dias is developing systems for both ground and airborne surveys using magnetotelluric methods. The successful applicant will be responsible for testing and validating new survey techniques and instrumentation, analyzing timeseries data, plotting survey results and identifying noise or other system issues. Familiarity with computation of MT impedance tensors, maxwells equations and MT data processing is expected. The position is located in Saskatoon, Canada.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Magnetotelluric data processing, modeling, and inversion (2D/3D)
- Analysis of timeseries data
- MT and AFMAG system characterization
- Development of software tools for MT data analysis
- Survey design, planning and execution
- Supervision of scientific equipment for geophysical field work
- Able and willing to travel locally and internationally

**Prerequisites**
- MSc. or PhD. in Geophysics
- Knowledge of Maxwell’s equations, MT impedance tensors and Fourier transforms
- Familiarity with frequency filters and wavelet analysis
- Experience in Airborne natural field Electromagnetics would be considered an asset
- Sound computer skills in Windows and Linux
- Any qualifications in the following areas would benefit the applicant, but are not required:
*Machine learning

*GIS

*Scientific development: Python programming, numerical optimization, statistical analysis.
- Eligible to work in Canada
