Hopewell Residential currently has an opening for a** Intermediate Draftsperson **to join our team. The Junior Draftsperson will report directly to the Drafting Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create plot plans, siting the home in relation to the street scape and grading the home as per community guidelines.
- Complete drafting of customer files, spec homes, show homes and sales centers for single family projects as per the contract and within the constraints of building codes and municipal bylaws.
- Coordinate with trade supply partners to receive necessary documents required for building permits and construction.
- Prepare files, as needed, and submit for permit submission.
- Verify files for accuracy and completeness at all stages of the pre-construction process.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Able to captain a task, documenting and providing leadership to another team member when asked.

**Competencies**:

- A minimum of 6 years of experience in a residential drafting and design within the new home building industry.
- Possess an Architectural Technologist Designation from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Proficient in the use of Auto CAD and Microsoft Office tools.
- Team player with strong written & verbal communication and a drive for excellence.
- Energetic individual who possess great attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

**Working Conditions**:
Traditional core working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evenings.
