**JOB OPPORTUNITY - Housekeeper - Full-Time Permanent Position**
Youthdale Treatment Centres is a fully accredited Children’s Mental Health organization with a mission to provide children, adolescents and their care-givers access to the best available psychiatric care and support, restoring hope, and helping individuals reach their full potential.
The housekeeper is responsible for the general cleaning of the Live-In Treatment home.
**Location**: 635 Huron
**Position Status**:Full-Time Permanent
**Hours of work**:35 hours per week
**Union/Non**: This is a unionized position
**Rate of pay**:$18.50 per hour
**ACCOUNTABILITY**
- This position reports directly to: Live-In Treatment Manager
**CORPORATE RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Fosters positive interpersonal relationships with staff, and clients.
- Maintains and adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
- Attends work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Adheres to Occupational Health and Safety Policies.
**JOB RESPONSIBILTIES**
- General cleaning, i.e., vacuuming, washing floors and walls, cleaning the stove and fridge, tidying cupboards, cleaning out cupboards, dusting, general cleanliness maintenance;
- Some meal preparation and very occasionally, shopping;
- Laundry, especially of linens and draperies;
- Window cleaning (inside);
- Sewing and mending;
- The housekeeper is responsible for the general cleaning of each house, but is not responsible for the specific cleaning or tidiness resulting from the day-to-day life in the house, i.e. dishes, bed-making, pickup up, etc. The staff and children are responsible for these duties.
- Extra cleaning/shopping duties to assist the staff in either opening/closing the house during the summer camp period.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous related experience preferred.
- Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Knowledgeable in Health and Safety and sanitation regulations.
