Refrigeration B Operator

Pinty's Delicious Foods is looking for a Refrigeration Operator (B License/3rd Class Engineer) who will be responsible for the set-up, repair and safe / efficient maintenance and operation of all production equipment.

**Must be licensed by TSSA and hold a Refrigeration “B” license and/or a 3rd Class Engineer license.**

**Schedule/Availability**:

- **10.00pm - 6.30 am (Mon-Fri)**:

- **Frequent overtime required based on production needs**:

- **Weekend overtime weekly/biweekly based on scheduled repair needs**

**Compensation**:

- **$34.75/hr Plus $0.70/hr shift premium**:

- **Daily overtime after 8hrs**

**General Duties**
- Follows all company safety procedures and policies including wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), using proper lifting techniques, and properly locking out equipment
- Follows all Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), British Retail Consortium (BRC) requirements to ensure the manufacture of Ready to Eat (RTE) chicken products
- Completes all specific job duties as outlined and in the Operator Proficiency Checklist
- Meets company attendance requirements
- Troubleshooting-determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Installation-installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
- Operation monitoring-watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Repairing-repairing machines or systems using the needed tools
- Equipment maintenance-performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Operation and control-controlling operations of equipment or systems

**Job Specific Duties**
- Operate the ammonia refrigeration system as outlined in the TSSA regulations
- Conduct facility inspections on a regular basis and provide routine maintenance support for other non-refrigerated building mechanical devices
- Diagnose machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
- Perform scheduled Preventive and Predictive maintenance services.
- Fill out logs and Communicate with Supervisors, Managers and equipment operators on work performed.
- Start up and lube drive chain for Freezer
- Respond to emergency situations and support the operation of the buildings fire suppression system.
- Repair and or maintain air compressors, air dryers, boilers, condensers, softeners, and hydraulic system as required.
- Perform plumbing tasks like repairing leaks and installing new lines
- All operators will be trained on SOP’s and records as reference to Master Document control list
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor, manager and/or chief engineer.

**Skills Required & Qualifications**
- TSSA Licensed Refrigeration B Operator and/or 3rd Class Engineer
- 1 Years Refrigeration "B" experience required
- Ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Working with mínimal supervision
- Working in a cold/warm environment
- Comfortable working with and around raw and/or cooked meat products

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
