**About the role**:
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials from supplier to end user by supporting the day-to-day needs of operational activities. This position also provides warehouse services that ensure high quality supply, storage and distribution of goods.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:
**Health & Safety**
- Maintain a high health, safety and environmental awareness
- Monitor own and peers’ adherence to health and safety measures, protocols and standards
- Adhere strictly to Newmont’s Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

**Operational Excellence & Growth**
- Participate in capability training per departmental procedure

**Work Responsibilities**
- Receive all goods procured by the Company and issue inventory
- Unloading and loading trucks as required
- Arrange for shipping of warehouse materials and goods
- Maintain warehouse inventory and conduct scheduled, formal physical counts in surface and underground stores
- Delivering products to maintenance, operations, and underground departments on a daily basis
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor with stock replenishment function as required
- Compare goods received to purchase orders and report deficiencies to vendor and Warehouse Supervisor

- Perform other related functions as assigned by technical training coordinator.
- Meet and establish performance expectations set by management.

**Your Training, Skills and experience check list**:

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of warehouse experience
- Working knowledge of legislation requirements under Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act
- Working knowledge of PC software (Microsoft Office and SAP)
- Preferred to have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift heavy items (50-70 lbs.) with assistance
- Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner
- Willingness to communicate, learn, and be innovative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift operator certificate would be an asset

**Working Conditions**:
**The work schedule for this position is 14 days on, 14 days off, working 12-hour days.**
