**TYCROP** is looking for a Gas Fitter Technician to join our team in the Fraser Valley.
- Do you have an aptitude for gas pipe testing and installation?

**Responsibilities**:

- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings of hydrogen gas related equipment
- Fabricate - welding, brazing, soldering and threading joints of related equipment and piping
- Test, repair or replace hydrogen gas equipment
- Assist in the operation of test bay
- Safely de-energize gas equipment in the event of an emergency
- Read & interpret drawing specifications to determine layout of the installation & materials required
- Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
- Collaborate with engineering department on new designs
- Provide feedback on prototype builds to improve production units
- Follow all safety rules / procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
- Promote standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems
- Perform other tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- 3 to 5 years relevant work experience
- Technical knowledge of hydrogen equipment
- Class A Gas Fitter License (preferred)
- Red Seal (preferred)

**Skills**:

- Technical knowledge of hydrogen equipment and plant operations
- Read & interpret blueprints/drawing specifications
- Mechanical installing, maintaining and repairing knowledge
- Operate general hand & air tools for gas pipe installations
- Operation of devices/power tools for maintenance
- Utilizes effective oral communication and numeracy, problem solving, job task planning and organizational skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $31.00-$38.00 per hour
